Hell's Kitchen in Las Vegas, Nevada

I have been to the Southern California location a couple of times but this was my first visit to the Las Vegas location. Our server was Tony and his assistant was Francisco. I have years of experience working in restaurants and Tony was fun, professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. My friend has never been to any location and Tony was sure to make sure he had all the information required for the best decision.

We both ordered the Prix Fixe and opted for the Pan Seared Scallops, Beef Wellington, and Sticky Toffee Pudding. The stark contrast of the food quality from the Southern California location was shocking. It has been some time since I had been but each course was more melt in your mouth than the last. It was a true culinary delight. My friend noted his opinion that Gordon Ramsey comes across as a pompous man on his television shows and to that I say, more power to him because clearly he's got cause to be.

The Pan Seared Scallops had an english pea puree, bacon lardons, potato crisp, and citrus beurre blanc.  The bacon lardons added a great dimension to the scallops.

I love Beef Wellington, it is one of my favorite dishes.  I would love to try to cook it sometime, however, I do not feel I could ever do it justice. This was the best Beef Wellington I have had in my entire life and thoroughly enjoyed every bite.  It is served with a potato puree, glazed root vegetables, and a red wine demi-glace.

Finishing off the amazing meal was Sticky Toffee Pudding.  This was served with a brown butter gelato.  The balance of these flavors was mouthwatering.  The portion size was very nice.  It truly was a melt in your mouth dessert.

But more than just the sumptuous food was the service. It was truly top notch. Between Tony and Francisco, our water glasses were never empty. We were checked on the perfect amount of times. Enough to be attentive, but not too much to be pushy. For me, dining out is only partly about the quality of the food. The service can make or break the entire experience and Tony and Francisco made it indeed.

Due to my years of service in the front of house, I know that management will absolutely let you know if you have angered a guest but will rarely tell you if you have delighted one. Well, give Tony and Francisco ALL OF THE THINGS. Please. They truly elevated this dining experience.

Do not pass out on this restaurant if you are in Vegas. 10/10 highly recommend.
